Job Summary

The Inventory and Distribution Clerk will support the objectives of the Purchasing Department by monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels and ensuring prompt and efficient distribution of inventory to various departments. The holder of this position must also comply with the Company’s inventory and distribution policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaises with various departments to monitor and maintain adequate inventory items.
  • Replenishes inventory levels daily, ensuring tagging and coding prior to transfers.
  • Ensures inventory received, distributed, and stored are in accordance with the relevant documentation.
  • Reviews and ensures that all relevant documentation for inventory is prepared accurately.
  • Maintains custody and safekeeping of all inventory items.
  • Performs routine administrative duties, including reporting, data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
  • Participates in a level of cross-functional training to enable continuity and to ensure that the department’s delivery of service is maintained.
  • Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Five (5) Ordinary Level subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ administrative support and/or distribution experience
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (MS Word, Excel)
  • POS software experience will be an asset
  • Desirable skills include excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, tactful, and ethical when dealing with vendors and colleagues, time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

Job Summary

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will be responsible for directing and planning daily operations of Value Optical Limited’s group benefits programs and will oversee all payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with statutory requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enters, maintains and processes information in the payroll system (HRp5) to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, commissions, benefits, taxes, and statutory and other deductions.
  • Prepares statutory and other deductions, bi-monthly.
  • Administers the Company’s employee benefits programs inclusive of group health and life insurance, pension, etc.
  • Processes all medical, life, and other related benefit claims and provide related assistance to employees.
  • Verifies calculations of monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies maintaining data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. This will include resolving queries and problems with plan vendors.
  • Provides information on company benefits and other incentive programs to employees, ensuring distribution of updates and notices as required.
  • Maintains an employee benefits filing system and ensures benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and service providers.
  • Responsible for leave administration process and maintains complete and accurate records of employee leave requests providing reports as required by Line Manager.
  • Oversee the application and/or renewal of work permits/authorizations processes for local and foreign employees where applicable.
  • Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field. (Consideration will be given to equivalent demonstrable experience)
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and laws affecting employee benefits programs (maternity, sick leave, injury) and payroll.
  • Good working knowledge of HRIS software, specifically HRp5.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (MS Word, Excel)
  • Desirable skills include effective planning and priority setting, excellent communication and organization skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
