What are the main offers for Colours of Easter?
25% OFF traditional Transitions lenses (Grey and Brown) (includes signature and Xtractive)
30% OFF Transitions style colours (Sapphire, Amethyst, Emerald and Amber)
30% OFF Transitions Drivewear and Transitions Graphite Green
Discounts are on lenses only.
There is no discount on frames.
The discount requires purchase of frames from VOL
Are there any discounts outside the selection above?
10% OFF complete spectacles or sunglasses with any other lens that is NOT Transitions
What are the rules for Colours of Easter?
Offer is only valid during the days of the promotion
Only spectacle purchases that are initiated during the promotion period are eligible for the offer.
The Transitions discount is on lenses only.
Frame or lens only purchases are not eligible.
Personal safety spectacles are eligible if they meet the discount requirement above.
Quotations are only valid until the end of the promotion and must state such.
There are no combining of discounts or additional discounts applicable.
Regular down payments are necessary to begin order.
Regular turn around times as per lens design remain in effect. (Our optical assistant will discuss how quickly we will be able to dispense your new spectacles)
Can I pay by cheque?
Yes you can. Our optical assistant will discuss with you, any special requirement set out by the banks
Can Insurance (Assignment of Benefit) be applied to this offer?
Yes, certain vision plans may have limitations or special restrictions. Please discuss your vision plan with our optical assistants if you wish to utilize it for your purchase.
What if I decide to take away the Rx?
Our complete eye examination fee of $250 will be charged.
SuperNova Promotion Details
Supernova is the most advanced antireflective coating available in Trinidad & Tobago. Supernova reduces the amount of reflections while also repelling dirt and water making lenses easier to clean. Utilizing German technology and the newest optical science available in the industry, our laboratory is able to produce world class coatings for prescription lenses right here in Trinidad thereby reducing the wait time from two – three weeks to three – four days.
What is an anti reflective coating?
Anti-reflective coatings (also called “AR coating”) improves vision, reduces eye strain and makes your eyeglasses look more attractive. These benefits are due to the ability of AR coating to minimize reflections from the front and back surfaces of your eyeglass lenses
How does supernova work?
Supernova is made of a very hard thin film that is layered on the lens. It is made of material that has an index of refraction that is somewhere between air and glass. This causes the intensity of the light reflected from the inner surface and the light reflected from the outer surface of the film to be nearly equal. When applied in a thickness of about a quarter of light’s wavelength, the two reflections from each side of the film basically cancel each other out, minimizing the glare you see.
Is Anti Reflective the same as Polarized?
These are actually different, and you can get an AR coating on the polarized lenses. The AR coating basically reduces glare and “ghost” images due to reflections at the lens surfaces. It works indoors and outdoors and allows more light to enter your eyes.
Polarized lenses are primarily for outdoor use and are used to reduce disabling and blinding glare. As an example, if you look at a body of water when the sun is low in the horizon, you’ll see a lot of glare. Polarized lenses will reduce that glare. Same thing for glare from roads while driving. Polarized lenses filter the light entering your eyes.
Can I add Supernova to an existing lens?
It is not recommended to add an anti-reflective coating to existing lenses as the process for layering the coating requires a pristine surface for it to bond properly. All new lenses go through a preparation process to achieve suitable surface properties. 99% of lenses that are already dispensed and used by patients have micro-scratches or worse that prevent a good AR bonding
How should I care for my lenses with Supernova?
- Always keep your lenses stored in your case.
- Always use your AR cleaner together with a microfibre cloth. DO NOT rub your dry lenses with paper towels and other coarse fabrics.
- When cleaning use one direction to wipe off dirt and smudges, then use a circular wipe around the edges to dry the lenses.
- Don’t store your spectacles in your car for long periods during the day and keep your lenses away from high heat sources to prevent crazing from happening.
Same Day Next Day Promotion Details
What is Same Day service?
Your frames are available on immediate purchase, and based on your lens features, your eye glasses can be ready for collection by 4pm the same day if the order is placed by 12 noon that same day. This service varies by branch. You can call 800-2020 for further information.
What is Next Day service?
Based on your lens features and time or ordering, your eye glasses can be ready for collection the next working day at 4pm. This service varies by branch. You can call 800-2020 for further information.
What lens features are not available for the Same Day / Next Day Service?
Due to the process involved in applying the Anti-reflective coating, this service is not available the Same Day or Next Day. In addition, where a special lens needs to be ordered, this will not apply.
Is this service available at all your locations?
No, due to geographic restrictions, some locations only offer Next Day service.
Will insurance claims still be applicable in the service?
Yes, all vision benefits as per your insurance provider coverage will be applicable.
Are down payments and layaways applicable under this service?
All purchases are subject to our regular down payment policy. Layaways are not applicable, however, on completion of your layaway payments your eye glasses may be applicable to a Same Day or Next Day return period.
Can I use my own frame for this service?
Yes you can. Your own frame is subject to our customer service policies and the service is subject to the lens availability.
Is there any period that this service not available?
From time to time, in order to ensure we continue to maintain the superior quality of our lenses and deliver the best customer experience to you, there may be a suspension of the service not lasting longer than 5 business days. Notices where this will occur will appear on all our media means and in store.
